TECHNICAL & SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Product Description: ROOT SEAL+ Root Canal sealant is an antibacterial, non inflammatory sealant for
filling dental root canals. Can tightly seal the apex of the root and the prepared root canal and can be
easily removed with Gutta Percha Point when refilling is necessary. Composition based on Grass man
formula is radiopaque, non staining non irritation with excellent thermal insulation. Very long working
time and excellent lubricating qualities.
Application: Root Canal sealing with and without Gutta Percha.
Root Canal filling for infected root canal treatment.
Composition: Powder - Zinc oxide, Bismuth Subcarbonate, Barium Sulphate, Sodium Borate, Idoform
Stabelite resins.
Methods of use: The root canal should be thoroughly dried before filling, over filling of root canals
should be avoided. Both glass slabs and spatula should be sterilized and thoroughly dry prior to use for
mixing cement. Place 2-3 drops of liquid and about 0.5 gm of powder on the slab. Spatulate small
portions of the powder into liquid until all particles of powder are dissolved. Gradually add more
portions of powder to the mix and mix thoroughly until a very smooth creamy paste is obtained.
Introduce the paste into the prepared root canal with a root explorer. Insert the gutta percha and seal
the coronal end with base.
Warning: Avoid prolonged or repeated contact with skin (allergic contact dermatitis) and eyes. Avoid
prolonged inhalation. Do not take it internally. Contact with the skin may cause irritation, burns of
hypersensitivity. If contact with skin occurs immediately wipe off thoroughly with cotton and alcohol
and then wash well with soap and water. If skin rash and sensitization or other allergic reaction occurs
discontinue use and seek medical attention. If the product comes into contact with the eyes, rinse
thoroughly with fresh water and consult a physician. It should not be used with patients who have a
history of severe allergic reaction to any of the components.
Precautions: Do not use root canal sealant with patients that have a history a allergic reaction to lodine
compounds. Avoids contact with eyes.
Storage: The Product should be stored in cool and dry environment. Close the container carefully after
use. Keep away from Moisture, Shelf Life not affected after opening if stored in cool dry place. If not to be
used for longer duration, keep them in refrigerator. Allow material to reach room temperature prior to
use.
Disposable conditions: To be disposed off based on the prevailing rules of the country in which it is used.

Shelf Life: 3 Years from the date of Manufacturing.
